An amazing #NYTechResponds hackathon (Part 1)
We had an amazing #NYTechResponds hackathon weekend, which wrapped up yesterday. I will write a blogpost about the weekend soon — I am still riding high on the “get ‘er done” approach to the weekend.
During my discussions with a few folks at different times over the weekend, I mentioned a couple essays/pieces/quotes/etc… some I wrote, some ideas from other folks I like. Here they are:
- The paper I was lead author on from 2008 about the use of social media in the presidential campaign of that year (which also hits on topics of “brand ambassadors”, decentralized brand management, etc.)
- My question about globalization and global warming from a 2007 Council on Foreign Relations Meeting (see end of transcript)
- Strauss-Howe Generational Theory
- Robert Pirsig’s metaphysics of quality (Wikipedia entry)
